Velocity 2024 Winter/Spring Leagues
4 levels of competition for grade 4-10 girls and grade 4-8 boys.
** The Winter/Spring League is Full **
Our winter/spring league is a great way for young athletes to continue to learn the game, while making good friends, and staying active! All the details for our internal league program can be found below!
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
When? Our Winter/Spring league starts the week of January 15th and runs until the start of May. There is a two week break during Spring Break.
Location: 17465 60th Ave, Cloverdale, Surrey, BC Cost: $540 per player. Payment plan available (see below). This includes all games and practices, as well as a Velocity VC gear package. We have funding available (see below) for families who need financial support. Each player must also become a Volleyball BC member (if they aren't already). The fee for this is approx $14. Each team will be 7 or 8 players at most. That way, nobody will be waiting off for more than a couple minutes! There will also be many opportunities to "sub" for a different team in the Velocity Winter/Spring League, so keen athletes will have the opportunity to play several times per week. PAYMENT PLAN (OPTIONAL)
Our optional payment plan allows families to split up the fees into two payments.
WHEN ARE GAMES AND PRACTICES?
We have 4 levels to our league. Each level of the league plays and practices on different days. The games happen 1x per week, although times may vary slightly from week to week. Practices will be held on a rotating basis (usually every second week and sometimes every third week) and will be run by our elite club coaches!
The times listed below are the ONLY times an athlete in each level will be scheduled for a game or practice. The exact times will vary, but they will all be within the time windows provided below. Level 1 will practice and play between 10:00am and 1:15pm on Saturdays
Level 2 will practice and play between 12:15pm and 6:00pm on Saturdays Level 3 will play on Thursday or Friday from 6:00-7:30pm, and will practice on Saturday between 4:30-6:00pm. Level 4 will play and practice on Tuesday and/or Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm. WHICH LEVEL AM I?
Take a look at the table below to see which level corresponds with each age and experience level. Any boxes that are green do not require a tryout, and any boxes in grey require that the player attends a tryout. Don't worry, the evaluations are fun and low stress! If you want to register for a level that has a green box by your grade, there is no need to attend an evaluation!
Tryouts can sound intimidating, but these ones won't be. Our tryouts are there to determine the best level for each player. We are not looking to "cut" anyone from a team, instead we are going to place each player at the most appropriate level. HOW CAN I ATTEND A TRYOUT? (level 2-4)

If you need help navigating the info on this page, please feel free to email Coach Matthew at [email protected] with any questions you may have.
WHO COACHES EACH TEAM?
Each team will have 1 or 2 mentor coaches from one of our older elite club teams. In addition to this, each team will receive dedicated support and coaching from several of our elite club coaches.
FINANCIAL AID FOR FAMILIES IN NEED
Funding is available either through organizations such as KidsSport, or through our scholarship fund for families in need. Between our scholarship fund and through KidsSport, we will be able to cover part or all of the fees for families in need. We will not let financial barriers stop any young athlete from participating! Email us for more info.
Volleyball BC Membership
For any athlete who is not already a Volleyball BC (VBC) member, we require that you register as a new member. Registration costs around $14. Anyone who is already a VBC member can skip this step. This membership is valid for any league, camp, or program at any VBC member club.
