16u Beach Volleyball

16u Girls Beach Volleyball | Summer 2026

We have four great options for 16u beach volleyball this summer! Take a look at the details below for more information about our beach volleyball programs. Beach volleyball is more difficult than indoor volleyball, and it is only suitable for players who have mastered the basic skills. Tryouts are required in order to participate.

CLUB Beach Volleyball

Our 16u Girls Club beach volleyball program will involve 2 sessions per week. Players are welcome to also register for tournaments through Volleyball BC (see links below), but this is not mandatory. In addition to the weekly training, all of our beach athletes are encouraged to attend our annual wrap-up tournament. This year, the wrap up tournament will be on August 15th.

Season Fees
$525. Includes all training, August 15th tournament, and two VVC Beach shirts.

Clothing
Each athlete in the program will receive two shirts included in their club fees. Additional Velocity Beach gear will be available for purchase!

HP beach volleyball

Our 16u Girls High Performance beach volleyball program will involve 2 sessions per week. Players are encouraged to register for tournaments through Volleyball BC (see links below), but this is not mandatory. Velocity coaches will be present at most local tournaments to support the athletes in this program. In addition to the weekly training, all of our beach athletes are encouraged to attend our annual wrap-up tournament. This year, the wrap up tournament will be on August 15th.

COEd rec beach Volleyball

We also have an option for recreational beach volleyball this summer! If you have club or school experience, you may register for our REC beach volleyball program without a Tryout.
Our 15/16u Coed Recreational Beach Volleyball program will involve 1 session per week.

REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS

Beach volleyball tryouts will take place in March, April, and early May. The tryouts are weather dependent, and dates are sometimes released only a couple days in advance. To stay up to date, add yourself to our beach tryout email list AND follow our new beach volleyball instagram account!

After your tryouts are complete, we'll email your results and a registration link for the season!

Training Schedule

The schedule for each group is listed in the menu above. Exceptions to the schedule will be made for the following reasons:

Holidays. All programs are cancelled on Holidays.
Weather. We will cancel training in the following situations.
- Nearby lightning. In this scenario, teams will move to a safe space and parents will be contacted for pickup. All beach locations have an undercover area near the courts.
- Severe rain. We generally play rain or shine, however, there have been a couple cases where the rain is so heavy that we need to cancel. This rarely happens.
- Extreme heat. High temperatures are part of beach volleyball! When the temperatures get high enough that they could pose a safety risk, we will either switch to grass volleyball or cancel completely. This rarely happens.

VBC Tournaments

VBC tournament info can be found here: VBC tournaments. These tournaments are not included in Velocity training fees.

Velocity will send coaches to support our athletes at these tournaments when possible.

Note: Teams can choose which tournaments they'd like to register for, and they will need to register online with VBC. If you have not selected a partner yet, we encourage you to register for tournaments now, and a partner can be selected later.
