Tryout Registration - IMPORTANT
**17u Players should only pay the tryout fee because there is no spring league option** When registering for tryouts, you will have the option to either pay for tryouts AND a non-refundable *$725 registration fee (strongly recommended) OR only pay for tryouts. Paying the registration fee now will guarantee your child a spot on one of Velocity's teams. If they are placed on a Spring League team, then their fees are fully paid. If they are placed on a Compete or Elite team, their registration fee you pay today will go towards their team fees. *payment plan available Tournaments
Elite Club Teams: 6-8 tournaments including provincials and nationals. Compete Club Teams: 4-5 tournaments including provincials. Spring League Teams: Weekly games and playoffs. No weekend tournaments. Practices Per Week

Total Cost
Elite Club Teams: $1800-$2400 depending on the number of tournaments entered. This includes practice and tournament fees, a custom Velocity jersey and gear package, insurance costs, equipment costs, coach training and honorariums, and administrative costs. This does not include VBC membership or any travel costs. Compete Club Teams: $1300-$1500 depending on the number of tournaments entered. This includes practice and tournament fees, a custom Velocity jersey and gear package, insurance costs, equipment costs, coach training and honorariums, and administrative costs. This does not include VBC membership. Spring League Teams: $725. This covers all costs for the January-May season. This includes all practice, game, and playoff fees, a jersey and gear package, insurance and registration costs, equipment, coaching, coach training and registration, and administrative costs. |
Season Length
Elite Club Teams: The teams will start training in January, and the season ends right after Nationals in mid May. Compete Club Teams: The teams will start training in January, and the season ends after provincials in late April or early May. Spring League Teams: The teams will start training in January, and the season ends after playoffs are complete in late April or early May. Tryout Dates
There are several different tryout dates for each age group. After each player registers, we will assign them to a tryout date within 1-2 business days. You will be able to view the tryout date, time, and location on TeamSnap as soon as it has been assigned. If there is a schedule conflict, we will try to accommodate each player when possible. |
Age Group Guide
Each age group is a 16 month period. Athletes born between September and December in any year will have two age groups that they qualify for.
11u - Born between Sept 2013 and December 2014
12u - Born between Sept 2012 and December 2013
13u - Born between Sept 2011 and December 2012
14u - Born between Sept 2010 and December 2011
15u - Born between Sept 2009 and December 2010
16u - Born between Sept 2008 and December 2009
17u - Born between Sept 2007 and December 2010
